Preview: Hough Huskies vs. Harding University Rams
The Hough Huskies will be playing at home against the Harding University Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hough has seven straight victories, Harding University has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Hough faced Mallard Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Everything went Hough's way against Mallard Creek as Hough made off with a 30-6 victory. The result was nothing new for Hough, who have now won three contests by 24 points or more so far this season.
The critical scores for Hough came from Sean Brady and Jacob Dossey.
Meanwhile, Harding University was beaten by West Charlotte 72-7 on Friday. Harding University was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-7.
Hough's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.2 points per game. Harding University has traveled a rocky road this season, as they've lost seven of their first eight games, which leaves them at a 1-7 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Hough against Harding University in their previous meeting back in August of 2018 as the squad secured a 56-6 victory. Will Hough repeat their success, or does Harding University have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
