Killingly is 9-1 against New London since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Redmen will square off against the Whalers at 4:00 p.m. Killingly's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so New London's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Killingly took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They never let Griswold get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. While the Redmen didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

New London came out on top against Griswold on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Whalers took their contest against the Wolverines 7-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Whalers.

Killingly pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for New London, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Killingly was able to grind out a solid win over New London when the teams last played back in April, winning 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redmen since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
