Rancho Solano Prep had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Highland Prep West HORNETS with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-10, 25-11.

Miley Avenell paced Rancho Solano Prep's offense, picking up 13 kills. Avenell got some help from Maya Blair and her 13 assists. Avenell was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Rancho Solano Prep's win bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Highland Prep West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Rancho Solano Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Fountain Hills on the 17th. As for Highland Prep West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against North Valley Christian Academy on the 20th.
