Volleyball Recap: Resurrection Comes Up Short

Resurrection lost against Payton College Prep back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bandits fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 2-1. The Bandits have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Resurrection sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 31-29, 18-25, 25-20.

Abbey Frangiamore paced Resurrection's offense, picking up ten kills. Frangiamore got some help from Chloe Warnke and her 22 assists. Molly Brannigan controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Resurrection's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Payton College Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Resurrection didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Latin on the 3rd. As for Payton College Prep, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Lane Tech on the 30th.
