Ben Hays Delivers Best Performance of Season

On Friday, Bentworth got the W thanks in part to Ben Hays playing the best football he has all season. Hays rushed for 200 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 38 receiving yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 65 yards.

Bentworth now has a winning record of 5-4. Hays and Bentworth will take on Avella at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Qualk Came Up Big in California's 56-14 Victory

California picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Lee Qualk. Bethlehem Center had no answer to Qualk as he rushed for 261 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards Qualk has posted since back in August.

Qualk must have Bethlehem Center's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Qualk last faced the Bulldogs back in October of 2023, he rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.

Johnny Gilbert Turns in Season-Best Performance

Johnny Gilbert produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Jefferson-Morgan to the win on Friday. Gilbert rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 33 receiving yards.

The victory for Jefferson-Morgan keeps them at an undefeated 9-0. Gilbert and Jefferson-Morgan will challenge California at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jefferson-Morgan Wins Ninth-Straight Thanks to Houston Guesman

Houston Guesman's big game helped extend Jefferson-Morgan's winning streak to nine on Friday. Guesman was dynamite, rushing for 141 yards on only eight carries, while also throwing for 104 yards and two touchdowns.

For the season, Guesman has thrown 21 touchdowns while averaging 154.6 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 97.22 passing yards per game.
