Sammy Hoffman turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than two earned runs surrendered on Wednesday. He struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off eight hits (and only one walk). He has become a key player for St. Croix Lutheran: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-3 otherwise.
