The Old Town Coyotes will head out on the road to face off against the John Bapst Memorial Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. Old Town is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
Old Town can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent game on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 51-25 margin over Foxcroft Academy. Given Old Town's advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Foxcroft Academy is ranked 93rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
John Bapst Memorial suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They were beaten by Mount Desert Island 65-38. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for John Bapst Memorial in their matchups with Mount Desert Island: they've now lost eight in a row.
Old Town's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for John Bapst Memorial, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-12.
Everything went Old Town's way against John Bapst Memorial in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as Old Town made off with a 42-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Old Town since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
