Elko kept a clean sheet against Sparks on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Railroaders with a sharp 10-0 victory. Elko's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Their offense was hitting Sparks from everywhere, as nine different players booted in a goal. Sascha Vera led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Elko now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Sparks, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Coming up, Elko will head out to challenge Spring Creek at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Spring Creek will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Elko surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sparks, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 13-0 defeat against North Tahoe on the 16th.
