Baseball Recap: Wayne Memorial Takes a Loss

Wayne Memorial's last matchup with Canton could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Monday. The Zebras lost 10-0 to the Cobras. If the Zebras were looking for revenge after losing 6-4 to the Cobras when the teams met back in May of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wayne Memorial saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braylon Wright, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Wright is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Devyn Peters also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Wayne Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 5-27. As for Canton, they now have a winning record of 15-14-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayne Memorial will take on Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Canton, they will face off against Stevenson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
