On Wednesday Morgan Peggs struck out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off only one hit. The effort marked the fewest hits Peggs has had since back in April of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with more than seven strikeouts. On the year, he has an ERA of 2.80 over 30 innings pitched.

Coming up, Peggs and Riverview Sarasota are taking a road trip to challenge Braden River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams had to take a loss when they last met the Pirates, but Peggs had little to do with the loss: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits.
