Basketball Recap: Howard Huskies vs. Harlem Bulldogs

Howard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Harlem Bulldogs, falling 77-54. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent loss being a 52-46 defeat two weeks ago.

Jayden Futrell was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards for Harlem. The dominant performance also gave Futrell a new career-high in blocks (five). Aj Williams was another key player, going 8 of 15 to rack up 20 points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Howard's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Harlem, the win got them back to even at 12-12.

Howard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harlem, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against West Laurens at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in West Laurens' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.
