Recap: Chesterfield Golden Rams vs. Buford Yellowjackets
The Chesterfield Golden Rams had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past Buford 47-24. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-6.
Chesterfield was led to victory by Terrahjah Robinson and Kierra Diggs. Robinson scored 15 points along with seven steals and five rebounds, while Diggs scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Diggs hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Jaeda Johnson, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Chesterfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Buford, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Chesterfield will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Andrew Jackson at 6:00 p.m. Andrew Jackson is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Buford, they will head out on the road to square off against Cheraw at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cheraw is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
