Barrington came out on top against Lake Zurich on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Fillies/Broncos walked away with a 7-2 win over the Bears. That's more bragging rights for the Fillies/Broncos, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Barrington is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Lake Zurich, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-19-1.
