Baseball Recap: Quincy Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Quincy and Biggs, and Biggs kept the tradition alive. The Trojans lost 14-5 to the Wolverines on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-8 on Thursday.

Jake Thackeray made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Quincy has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Biggs, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Quincy will challenge rival Portola at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. Meanwhile, Biggs is set to face off against their familiar foe Maxwell at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
