Volleyball Recap: Victor Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Victor's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Canandaigua Academy Gray Wolves by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Blue Devils, who suffered a 1-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Victor can attribute much of their success to Vanessa Phan, who had 15 digs and one assist. Those 15 digs gave Phan a new career-high.

Victor was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matches.

Victor has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-2 record this season. As for Canandaigua Academy, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Victor will take on Webster Thomas at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Canandaigua Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Greece Arcadia on the 23rd.
