Basketball Recap: Highland Park Comes Up Short

Highland Park lost against McLean back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Highland Park Hornets fell 53-46 to the McLean Tigers.

McLean's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Collin Alston led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayvon Salazar, who posted 15 points.

Highland Park's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for McLean, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Highland Park will challenge Bovina at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McLean, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-33 loss against Follett on the 7th.
