Softball Game Preview: Oak Park Eagles vs. Royal Highlanders

The Oak Park Eagles will head out to challenge the Royal Highlanders at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Oak Park fell victim to Camarillo and their airtight pitching crew two weeks ago. They lost 11-0 to the Scorpions.

Oak Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kirthi Paramasivan, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Paramasivan has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Meanwhile, Royal suffered their biggest loss since February 26th on Wednesday. They came up short against Camarillo, falling 13-3. The Highlanders have struggled against the Scorpions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Marilyn Augusta made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Royal's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Oak Park, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Oak Park suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Royal in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
