Basketball Recap: Joppatowne Extends Winning Streak to Two

Perryville came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Joppatowne, but Kishann Smith wouldn't allow it. The Joppatowne Mariners came out on top against the Perryville Panthers by a score of 61-54 on Tuesday thanks in part to Smith, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023.

Another player making a difference was Dartanun Blakney, who posted 13 points. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Joppatowne and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for Perryville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Joppatowne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-43 win against Aberdeen on the 19th. As for Perryville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 54-52 victory against North Harford on the 19th.
