Softball Recap: Bethany Community Starts Season with Win at Home

Bethany Community took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Monday. They skirted past the Morehead Panthers 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolves have posted since April 17, 2024.

Audrey Waddell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts.

At the plate, Bethany Community's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Camryn Graves, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Morehead now has a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Bethany Community will square off against McMichael at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Morehead, they will face off against Providence Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
