Basketball Game Preview: Welsh Greyhounds vs. Merryville Panthers

Having just played yesterday, the Welsh Greyhounds will get right back to it and host the Merryville Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Welsh is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since December 13, 2023 on Monday. They took a blow against Eunice, falling 90-56.

Meanwhile, Merryville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 76-46 loss at the hands of Tioga. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Indians are ranked 47th).

Welsh strolled past Merryville when the teams last played back in January by a score of 59-41. Does Welsh have another victory up their sleeve, or will Merryville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
