Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Brady Vaseleck and Nate Raab Lead Chenango Forks to Victory

There's no place like home for Chenango Forks, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-37 win over the Walton Warriors on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blue Devils also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2020.

Leading Chenango Forks to victory were Nate Raab and Brady Vaseleck. Raab dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, while Vaseleck posted 12 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Raab a new career-high in steals (four). Another player making a difference was Drew Warpus, who had eight points and seven rebounds.

Chenango Forks' victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Walton, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-2.

Chenango Forks didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 84-62 defeat against Seton Catholic Central on the 11th. As for Walton, they will square off against Deposit-Hancock at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
