Football Recap: Hope Comes Up Short

Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Exeter-West Greenwich/Prout, falling 20-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Wave of the 46-12 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Hope's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Exeter-West Greenwich/Prout, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hope will challenge North Smithfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Northmen's defense has only allowed 11 points per game this season, so the Blue Wave's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Exeter-West Greenwich/Prout, they will square off against Smithfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
