Volleyball Recap: Redwood Takes a Loss

Redwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sanger Apaches. The Rangers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Apaches apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Redwood started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Redwood still got an impressive performance from Avery Bratsch, who had 15 digs and five aces. Bratsch is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Redwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Sanger, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Redwood will host Tulare Western at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sanger, they will head out to take on Lemoore at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
