Baseball Recap: Clearview Comes Up Short

Clearview lost against Columbia on April 9th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Clippers came up short against the Raiders, falling 25-4. The Clippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Xavier Rivera made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Mettler, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Clearview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Columbia, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3-1.

Looking ahead, Clearview will be playing at home against Brooklyn at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbia, they will head out on the road to face off against Beachwood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders are facing the Bison at the right time seeing as the Bison are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
