Volleyball Recap: Tokay Takes a Loss

Tokay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Franklin Wildcats. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 25-21 in the first set.

Tokay started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-21, 25-12, 25-9.

Ralph Doria paced Tokay's offense, picking up 13 kills. Doria got some help from Rian Dimalanta and his 21 assists. Brian Desertic controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Sean An was nothing short of spectacular for Franklin: he had 17 digs and two aces. That's the most aces An has posted over his last six games.

Tokay's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Franklin, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-14.

Tokay has already played their next matchup (against Franklin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for the Wildcats, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Encina on the 2nd.
