Jordan Roque commands the offense for Bulls win

Recap: Wiregrass Ranch Bulls vs. Cypress Creek Coyotes

Even though the Cypress Creek Coyotes scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, the Wiregrass Ranch Bulls still came out on top. Wiregrass Ranch strolled past Cypress Creek with points to spare, taking the game 75-57. Given Wiregrass Ranch's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Cypress Creek is ranked 382nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wiregrass Ranch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Roque, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Roque scored 15 or more points. KJ Smith was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.

Cypress Creek lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caleb Edmonds, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Manuel Castro, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds.

Wiregrass Ranch has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. As for Cypress Creek, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-9.

Wiregrass Ranch won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Gainesville at 3:00 p.m. on January 13th. As for Cypress Creek, they will head out on the road to take on Pasco at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
