Basketball Recap: Galena Takes a Loss

After flying high against Jimmy Huntington last Saturday, Galena came back down to earth. The Galena Hawks took a blow against the Valdez Buccaneers on Friday, falling 92-63. The Hawks were probably out for revenge after losing 74-32 to them when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Galena's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Valdez, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-6.

While Galena had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
