Football Recap: Holy Cross' Undefeated Season over After Five Games + How To Watch

Holy Cross was the 19-14 winner over Riverside when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lancers fell 28-21 to the Rams on Friday. The game marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Holy Cross still got an impressive performance from Vincent Gilliam, who picked up 111 receiving yards and two scores. Gilliam was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 52 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Holy Cross fell to 4-1. As for Riverside, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-1.

Looking ahead, Holy Cross will challenge Princeton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Tigers have played have been within three points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Riverside, they will square off against Bishop Eustace Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Rams 13.8, the Crusaders 7.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
