Orangewood Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Tre Roach, who rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and Tyson Bowie, who rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown. Roach got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 52 yards.
The win got Lake Highland Prep back to even at 1-1. As for Orangewood Christian, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-3 record.
Lake Highland Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Orangewood Christian in their previous meeting back in September of 2023, winning 13-0.
