Softball Recap: Vanlue Comes Up Short

The Vanlue Wildcats lost 17-3 to the Buckeye Central Bucks on Thursday.

Vanlue saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amiah Keathley, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Keathley is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Vanlue's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Buckeye Central, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vanlue will square off against Van Buren at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Buckeye Central, they will challenge Plymouth at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bucks are facing the Big Red at the right time seeing as the Big Red are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
