Basketball Recap: King Comes Up Short

King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by Westminster Academy 66-33. That's two games in a row now that King has lost by exactly 33 points.

Despite the loss, King still got an impressive performance from Javon Russell, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Rodney Smith, who posted eight points.

King now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Westminster Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, King is taking a road trip to square off against Tampa Bay Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westminster Academy, they will face off against St. Thomas Aquinas at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
