Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valencia). They blew past the Robertson Cardinals 62-39 on Thursday. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Valencia's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaiden Montgomery led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards. Montgomery has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Montoya, who went 7 of 17 on her way to 18 points and seven rebounds.

Valencia was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Robertson only posted four assists.

Despite the defeat, Robertson had strong showings from Arianna Martinez, who posted nine points, and Alyxa King-Greenwalt, who had ten points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emaya Smith, who put up five points and seven boards.

Valencia is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points per game. As for Robertson, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3.

Valencia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-22 defeat against Los Lunas on the 4th. As for Robertson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 67-34 victory against Capital on the 4th.
