Softball Game Preview: Tri-Valley Vikings vs. Pontiac Indians

Tri-Valley is on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Pontiac is on a three-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Tri-Valley Vikings will welcome the Pontiac Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Tri-Valley's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Warrensburg-Latham with a sharp 10-0 win.

Tri-Valley got a big performance out of Maren Milton, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Freihaut, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Pontiac had just enough and edged out Metamora 3-1 on Tuesday.

Tri-Valley might still be hurting after the 11-0 loss they got from Pontiac when the teams last played back in March of 2019. Can Tri-Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
