 Springville had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs), and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They never let the Skyridge Falcons onto the board and left with  a   1-0  victory. Despite the  win, that was the fewest  runs Springville has scored all season.
 The result came thanks to  Allie Fowler's shutout, as she gave up just four  hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On Skyridge's side,  Kadynce Barnes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits.
 Springville's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Skyridge, their defeat was  their third straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 3-9.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springville will  challenge Riverton at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Skyridge, they will head out on the road to  take on  Westlake at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Westlake is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.4  runs per game  this season.
