It was a good run, but Clay Center unfortunately witnessed the end of their 25-match winning streak on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hayden Wildcats. Considering the last time the Tigers couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Clay Center was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Hayden work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-14, 26-24.

Lily Edwards paced Clay Center's offense, picking up 12 kills. Edwards got some help from Raicee Lipker and her 24 assists.

Ella Foster was a one-woman wrecking crew For Hayden. as she had 18 digs and four assists. That's the most digs Foster has posted since October 2nd.

Clay Center's defeat dropped their record down to 39-3. As for Hayden, they pushed their record up to 29-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Clay Center has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against McPherson on the 31st. As for Hayden, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Buhler on the 31st.
