Basketball Game Preview: East Butler Tigers vs. Mead Raiders

East Butler has won eight straight games at home, while Mead has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The East Butler Tigers will host the Mead Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Mead took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on East Butler, who comes in off a win.

East Butler played against Dorchester and won via forfeit.

Last Saturday, Mead was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-42 to Howells-Dodge. The Raiders have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

East Butler will have to keep a close watch on Brady Gartner and Isaac Couch, a pair of players who had a big impact on Mead's prior game. Gartner almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards, while Couch posted 14 points.

East Butler's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Mead, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

East Butler took a serious blow against Mead when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 72-30. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point East Butler was down 51-21.
