St. Paul Catholic had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They didn't even let the Thomaston Bears on the board on Wednesday, marking the Falcons' second-straight 7-0 shutout. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 matchups by six runs or more this season.

The victory was the third in a row for St. Paul Catholic, bringing their record up to 23-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Thomaston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-11.
