Baseball Recap: South River Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Severna Park, South River was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Annapolis Panthers by a score of 8-3. The victory continues a trend for the Seahawks in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.

South River let Nolan Hooker and Finn Mulvihill run wild. Hooker went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Mulvihill went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run. Those three runs gave Hooker a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Lutterbie, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

South River's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Annapolis, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
