Perry County Central put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Corbin Redhounds. The Commodores have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Redhounds, too.

Jossie Mullins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Taylan Hoskins was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Dixon, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Perry County Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .360 or higher in eight consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Perry County Central pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Perry County Central will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against South Laurel at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Perry County Central 1, South Laurel 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Corbin, they are taking a road trip to challenge Rockcastle County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
