Basketball Recap: Alexandria City Takes a Loss

Alexandria City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 39-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Springfield Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-38 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Alexandria City lost, don't look at Kori Dickerson. Despite the final result, she posted ten points.

Alexandria City's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for West Springfield, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Alexandria City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Springfield, they will be playing at home against Lake Braddock at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
