Baseball Recap: Rosamond Finds Home Field Redemption Against Desert

There's no place like home for Rosamond, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against the Desert Scorpions on Tuesday as they made off with a 13-1 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Roadrunners considering their two-run performance the game before.

Elijah Covarrubias was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Jordan Rowens was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.

Rosamond always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. They are 5-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Rosamond moved to 8-16 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Desert, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Rosamond does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Desert, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-0 loss against Riverdale on the 16th.
