Volleyball Recap: Monett Beats Southwest for Their Third Straight Victory

Monett had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Southwest Trojans by a score of 2-0. The Cubs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Peyton Brandt paced Monett's offense, picking up nine kills. Brandt got some help from Morgan Wright and her 19 assists. Brycelynn Courtois controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Monett's win bumped their record up to 12-5-2. As for Southwest, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11-1.

Monett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Galena on the 27th. As for Southwest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Blue Eye on the 27th.
