Monett entered their tilt with Southwest on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Cubs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Monett's win bumped their record up to 11-4-1. As for Southwest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11-1 record this season.
