Recap: American Heritage Patriots vs. King's Academy Lions

The American Heritage Patriots had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their game at home on Saturday with ease, bagging a 49-7 win over King's Academy. The win was nothing new for American Heritage as they're now sitting on seven straight.

When it comes to explaining why King's Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Joe Dailey. Despite the final result, he rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown. Dailey was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards.

American Heritage pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points per game. As for King's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3-1.

American Heritage will be playing at home against Cardinal Gibbons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cardinal Gibbons is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. King's Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
