Volleyball Game Preview: Lompoc Braves vs. Cabrillo Conquistadores

Lompoc is 2-8 against Cabrillo since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Braves will host the Conquistadores at 6:00 p.m.

Lompoc saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to Dinuba.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Cabrillo made easy work of Orcutt Academy on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Conquistadores in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won seven in a row.

While Cabrillo won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-7, 26-24, 25-16.

Lompoc better keep an eye on Marie Terrones. She was instrumental in Cabrillo's win, getting 12 digs and one assist.

Cabrillo was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Lompoc's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Cabrillo, the win got them back to even at 14-14-1.
