On Tuesday, everything came up roses for Hickory Grove Christian against Gaston Day as the squad secured a 49-22 victory. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 22 points or more this season.

Hickory Grove Christian found their leader in sophomore Lauren Feaster, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 14 boards. Feaster is becoming a predictor of the Lions' success: when she posts at least eight rebounds the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Williams, who posted ten points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Gaston Christian suffered their biggest loss since January 17th on Tuesday. They were dealt a 71-38 defeat at the hands of Concord Academy. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Gaston Christian's biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gaston Christian fell to 8-1. As for Hickory Grove Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Things could have been worse for Hickory Grove Christian, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 46-29 loss to Gaston Christian in their previous meeting back in February. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
