Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask River Valley). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Kofa Kings 49-0 on the road. Given the Dust Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona football rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Kings are ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jayden Plotkin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 125 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, River Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 327 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.

The win for River Valley keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. As for Kofa, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

River Valley will host Wickenburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wickenburg's defense has only allowed 16.8 points per game this season, so River Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Kofa, they will head out on the road to face off against Yuma at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kofa is facing Yuma at the right time seeing as Yuma is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
