Baseball Recap: Greenhills Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Greenhills and Our Lady of the Lakes meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Gryphons came up short against the Lakers, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 on Thursday.

Greenhills dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Coming up, Greenhills will face off against Garden City at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-7 loss against Everest Collegiate on the 2nd.
