Basketball Recap: Sheffield's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Sheffield can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Wednesday. They managed a 35-30 win over the Kane Wolves. This was a revenge game for the Wolverines: when they faced off against the Wolves two weeks ago, they had to take a 59-29 loss.

Kane lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Eric Novosel, who posted six points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Mccormack, who put up four points and three steals.

Sheffield's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Kane, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Sheffield will face off against Cranberry Area at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kane, they will take on DuBois Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kane is facing DuBois Central Catholic at the right time seeing as DuBois Central Catholic is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
