Football Game Preview: Custer County Bobcats vs. Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds + How To Watch

Custer County is 0-4 against Sangre de Cristo since September of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Bobcats will venture away from home to face off against the Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Custer County managed to keep up with Hoehne until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Bobcats were beaten by the Farmers 61-27. While the Bobcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Farmers 14-6 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 36 points the game before, Sangre de Cristo was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were outmatched by Crowley County and fell 48-6. The game marked the Thunderbirds' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Custer County now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Sangre de Cristo, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Custer County took a serious blow against Sangre de Cristo in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 54-16. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
